Critically ill patients as well as surgical patients are hospitalized in our ICU area. Here our technicians and doctors monitor them throughout the day while receiving fluids, antibiotics or other medications, nutritional therapy and special contact. Oxygen therapy, blood transfusions, pain management, and blood pressure monitoring are other procedures performed in this area of the hospital.

Each patient's medications and care instructions are charted on a flow sheet and kept within the ICU area. Technicians do treatments many times throughout the day according to each patient's schedule, as well as daily cleaning of the cages, bowls and litter.

Our doctor staff does daily exams for each case. At this time each patient's progress is evaluated, diagnosis updated and owners are contacted with progress reports.
